System Speed Call Grouping or Limitation

Hi guys , we currently have a Mitel 3300 at the office and due to our phone support and supplier closing their doors the (poor and overworked) IT department has been tasked with supporting the phone system.

We  have a problem with controlling cellphone speed dials after hours as we are a 24 hour operation and would like to know if it's possible to put a restriction on system speed calls to only allow certain speed calls(40 or so) to be dialled after hours.


Any feedback would be gladly appreciated.

Who are you trying to restrict?  Calls from inside or outside calls going to the speed dials?

If it's outside calls then you have to restrict the trunks via COR and then in the system speed dials set the ones you want to allow to be called to "over ride toll security".

It's a bit tricky to do if everything in your system is unrestricted.  Your system would have to be looked at carefully to see what adding toll restrictions would do.

Thinking about it,  you could add time of day routing to your ARS and route the calls you don't want to go out at certain times to route to a restricted route.   This would be pretty tricky to set up but would give you a more incremental control.

If you have NuPoint with Call Director you could intercept the digits in the PBX and send them to a call flow containing a restriction schedule
