Answer line from UCA softphone Iphone...
« on: May 22, 2014, 02:02:26 PM »
Good day,

Silly question, but how the heck do answer a line using the UCA Iphone softphone app?

Lets say I get a page "line 1".  I can't see a way to actually select a phone line using the softphone.

Not sure i understand the question..... are you saying when someone rings your PRG which includes your UCA IPHONE SIP phone you can not see how to answer the call?

I far a i remember you hit the "answer" button

Does the Iphone ring?

Im sure i must be missing something.

Please explain further

I'm assuming that someone has a button labeled line 1 where there is a call on hold that you would like to retrieve. If this is the case, how is that button programmed

Yes, that is correct :-)

Line 1 appearance looks like this...

This may need a bump the the 5000 techs.
I suspect you'll need to dial a code.  Possible 94000?

As a work around could you use a phantom as 'park' key, then transfer the call to it.
UCA could then do a reverse pickup to retrieve the call?

I'm not great on the 5000, is there a way to reverse transfer a trunk on hold??

I'm not big on the 5000, but looking at the single line guide I don't think there is a reverse pickup of a trunk key
