Exporting Extensions from 3300
« on: September 30, 2009, 11:31:51 AM »
I need to run a report that lists all the extension configured on my 3300.  When every i click export as cvs...there is a beep, and then goes back to login screen.

Any thoughts.  I know it is a Windows XP issue, but i have tried many things already.

Thanks

-Evan

Make sure that the 3300 URL is in your Trusted Sites in your IE.

In that case do the following:

1) Open My Computer.
2) On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
3) Click the File Types tab.
4) In the Registered file types list, click "Microsoft Excel Worksheet" (Extension XLS), and then click Advanced.
5) Uncheck "Browse in same window" check box.
6) Click OK.

what version of IE are you using? try tools, internet options, security, custom level, automatic prompting for downloads = yes, file download = yes.

Hope this helps

Ok,  Here's how you do it.
Download a program called Putty.  Free Telnet software

You'll need to open up 2 sessions.
1 - telnet to port 23.     Login using either "system" or "installer" as the user.  (PM me if you need to know the passwords.)
2 - telnet to port 1754  - the screen will be blank.

ON the session to port 1754, before connecting, go to the "session" and then "loggin" and change the log file to a location and file name you can find later.  Now open the session.

On the 1st telnet to port 23, enter the command to print the form you want to print.   For actual extensions, I always use the "station service assignment" form.   The actual command you will use for this is (without the quotes) "fo st s/po lpr1".   If you want all numbers then enter "fo call r as/po lpr1".  This will print just about everything except system speed dial and ARS.

Once you enter these commands, the telnet session to port 1754 will begin spitting out all kinds of data.   Once it stops, close the session and then edit the log file it saves.   Import it into Excel.

If you just want to know what numbers are used, even easier, from the normal command line in ESM enter "loc all free dn 0-9999.
