Mediatrix
« on: March 18, 2014, 11:27:20 AM »
I have several Mediatrix 4100 series connected via SIP to a Mitel 3300 MCD. Users are required to dial 9 to make an outside call. When they dial the 9 on a mediatrix port, however, they do not get second dial tone. This is confusing for some of the users. Is there a way that I can make the Mediatrix produce dial tone after the first 9 is dialed? Does anybody have any experience with the Mediatrix?

Do you have the 3300 setup for the 2nd dialtone after 9?

yes, it works for analog and IP extensions. The issue is in the Mediatrix itself, it is a SIP device so it doesn't even send the number to the 3300 until it deems that the whole number (including the 9) has been dialed. In other SIP ATA's that I have used, or SIP conferences phones for that matter, I can make this work by putting a 9, into the dial plan but the Mediatrix doesn't like the comma in the dial plan.
