DNI Port Bad ?
« on: February 06, 2014, 06:59:31 PM »
3300 MXe 2-Clustered Rel 4.2 / 10.2.0.26_2  EMB-VM 6-SX200 10-ASU

Working with Supersets is new to me. Programming extensions has been fine so far. Today I made one, but when I plugged in the 4025, the display just flashed off and on. No boot msg or syncing. So I moved to the next port / circuit and had the same issue. So I started to wonder if I was messing up. Did a 3 port / circuit and it worked fine.

Is there a way for me to verify the ports are bad or can they be reset in some manner ?

Thanks all.

Is this a new installation or card that hasn't been used before? I have seen this on a new (or first time programmed) card and after programming a set you have to use the LOAD command on the card's base PLID or even the whole cabinet to get it to go.

What does it show if you stat the card?

Make sure the set type is correct in the programming. A 4025 will only come up on a port programmed as a 4025, if it's set up as a 4001, 4015 or 4150 it won't come up.

Hi Ace,

The system has been here for years. I'm just new here. I ran the status of the card shown below.
4 1 8 8 is OS because I don't have the phone plugged in. But get the flashing display if I do. I am checking the phone at the 66m block direct from the cabinet. Nothing else jumpered in. Phone works fine elsewhere.
4 1 8 10 is unassigned, I already deleted the Ext.

 4 1  8   6  1| Superset 4025        | Idle           |         |     |
 4 1  8   6  2| Unassigned           | Not applicable |         |     |

Check your cabling pin outs, remember that it isn't one card per cable... For example, card slot 8, ports 1-8 are on P5, and ports 9-16 are on P6, they spread across 2 amphenol connectors.

Look around page 40 or so...

Is this a SX-200 or 2000 bay? If so make sure you look at the correct pin out. On the 2k cards the circuits are split between two cables but on the 200 they are on one and card 2 will be WH/BL-BK/OR and card one will be BK/BR-V/SL.

10.2.0.26_2  EMB-VM 6-SX200 10-ASU

think this suggests its a 200 Per node. Would check the cabling.
