Phone exception error - All phones suddenly after router update
« on: January 09, 2014, 03:25:48 PM »
I had a customer that recently had a router fail, the router was supplying DHCP to the phones and the 5000 address was statically assigned in the phone, they just received their router and connected it, initially, all the phones came up and worked properly, but now all phones will not boot and give an exception error at DHCP Discovery that is this:

Exception 2 TLB
Mode or INSPR.F
ETCH @ 94198FA8
Task PEG Thread
TID 0x94F37EA0
Stat Usage 3%
SP 0x94F38288
Cause: 0x10000008
SR 0x100008C01
BAD 0x00000008
05.01.00.16

On hold with tech support now, but anybody got anything on this?

EDIT: customer just sent me a pic of the phones in a failed state, think I know what's going on... at DHCP Discovery they are getting:

DHCP Discovery
Bad 43 subopt end

Had them put the phone in Teleworker mode and point it manually to the 5000 and it came up, looks like their IT vendor messed up the option 43.
