SIP device cannot initiate calls - Revolabs FLX

Revolabs FLX conference room phone

Have created the extension within MCD and it has registered within MCD.

Am able to call the device both by extension and by 10-digit DID.

All calls initiated from the device go to busy/fast busy signal.

Have changed  media settings on the FLX and the results are the same.

Any thoughts?  A COS setting?

Any chance the phone is call forwarded to an invalid number?  Pure SWAG on my part.

Do you have to edit the dial plan in the SIP device itself? Maybe the phone doesn't know what to do with those digits. CCS trace may help as a quick verification.

Are you still having issues with this SIP Device?

I have been working on installing 4 of these devices the last few days and have figured some things out, but I am still having an issue with registration.

Setup 3300:
Set Type: UCEndpoint
SIP Capabilities: 71
Key: Multicall Key of itself

FLX Conf Setup:
Primary Registrar: 3300 IP address
Administrator > Transport > TCP/UDP Selection : UDP Only <-- allows calls longer than 10 minutes.

Everything works great even the second line and all the features associated with the conference phone. The issue is that randomly the phone loses registration and has to be reset to get it working again. I am talking to Revo Labs Tech Support, but that is almost a useless conversation since they are just throwing out jibberish answers.

Still no progress to report.  Phone/extension is registered.  I can call the Flex from internal extensions and from the outside world using the Flex's assigned DID.  Cannot initiate calls from the Flex.

When you pick up the handset, do you get a dialtone before you dial?

Where is "SIP Capabilites 71" configured.

I have not touched the Flex in a few days.  Almost ready to return it and move onto a Polycom or Mitel device.

Co-worker found a setting that has us able to initiate calls from the Flex!

I had set the "Service Level" to Multi-device in the creation of the extension in the 3300.  She noted the extension did not exist in the Users and Devices>Advanced Configuration>Multiline Set Keys.  Added the extension to that listing, and was immediately able to initiate calls.

Sorry I haven't looked at this forum post lately, but I am glad you got it figured out.

As for SIP Capabilities 71 it is set up in the System Properties > System Feature Settings > SIP Device Capabilities and by default is ready to go for the Revlo Labs device.

As for the Multicall Key it does have to have on of itself as I posted earlier when setting up the phone or it won't have a way to make conference calls as the second line is not available for it to use.

I resolved the issue I was having with the phone losing registration by statically assigning them an IP address on the Voice VLAN and I also checked the box for QoS inside the Revo Labs web Interface.
