Incoming SIP to Dynamic extn
« on: December 04, 2013, 03:45:08 PM »
Hello.
Mitel MCD 5, incoming call with CLI Blocked, via SIP Trunk going to extn OK, But when calling a Dynamic extension user the call fails.
Not sure if its the network provider that could be stopping the call because of no CLI.
any ideas.

Can you call the dynamic extension user internally ok? Think it might be that either the SIP trunk COS or DE COS doesn't allow trunk to trunk connections.  Could also be that as you point out that the SIP provider see a call in and then out on SIP and blocks it ( Don't know why it would ).

Hi, yes can make an internal call, and external call if the external party is presenting CLI, if there is no CLI the network provider sends " Anonymous" that is then transisted through the Mitel then rejected by the Network SIP Provider.
Is there anyway that we can change the " Anonymos" to show the EHDU extn No or the Pilot No.
The Mitel MXE is working behind a MBG, if that helps.
Thanks for your advice.

Hi, for your info we have found that in the URI/No transaltion form, we added a entry that translated the Anonymous to be the Pilot No.
Our example   URI<sip:anonymous@anonymous.invalid>  User No XXXXXXXXX
That fixed our problem, thanks for your help.
