Bandwidth Thresholds
« on: November 13, 2013, 04:23:48 PM »
I'm wondering if there is a standard for setting bandwidth thresholds on the controllers or what other folks set these to?

Thanksn

Would think that "standard" doesn't apply because you and I might not have the same amount of bandwidth available. Think the point is to set the bandwidth threshold would need to be set based on the amount of bandwidth availalble. Up to this point I have never used it because I have ( luckily ) never had to worry about bandwidth.

I agree with LoopyLou.

If you have a WAN with only a T1 you'd use a different limit than if you had a 10 meg pipe.

I agree with your comments but I was thinking in terms on percentage as yes different networks have different connections even we have sites with a mix of T1's and higher speed connections. I thought maybe there was a rule of thumbe so to speak like never go higher than 70% or something like that.

Here is some bandwidth stuff. Not sure if it applies to your instance, but check it out. Looks like mostly SIP..........
