5320 Station Speed Dial with a #?

Ya know how on a 5340 the display gives you the option to insert a # so that the phone doesn't think you're just trying to save your entry when you press #?

Is there a workaround for 5320 phones? Here's what I'm trying to do:

Customer wants a speed dial button that will allow them to forward their phantom (9999) to an external number. As of right now, the process is this:

1-800-xxx-xxxx

If I can't simplify this with a station speed dial, is there a way to use the system speed dial? I tried it but the sys speed dial always seems to grab a channel automatically...

Feature Code Key inserts a * or #, now I'm just limited by the allowable number of characters, sigh....

It can be done!  I do it all the time and the trick is that you must work around the 16-digit maximum in station speed dials.  In the example you show I'd probably set up a new phantom PERMANENTLY forwarded to the 11-digit outside number, ext no longer than 3 digits.  Then on the original phantom cut it back to 3 digits max, pass 3 digits also.  Set up your Sta Spd for 359, old phantom, pass#, 355, new phantom.  Now everything fits in 16 digits.
