Mitel 3300 and Exchange 2007 UM
« on: September 16, 2013, 11:50:23 AM »
I have the following configuration setup, but I'm having a problem with Voicemail.

The system seems to work in every regard, but VM.

When an external call comes in, the 3300 passes the call to the Exchange AA. The AA properly processes the call, and forwards the caller to the extension.

Here is where the problem comes in:
- If the extension is not answered, the call goes back the AA instead of the VM.

Additionally, if I call the VM from an extension, Exchange is not processing the call as expected; that is, it should know the extension from which I am calling and go right to VM and ask for the PIN.

Looking at the Exchange log and WireShark, it seems the issues is that Exchange sees the number as our DID number, not the extension (that is; 555-555-5555 not the extension 1234).

From my 3300: 3300 ICP Call Control 42.0.0.42

TIA

if you dial the VM from you extension does it still show the DID and not the local extension number?

LoopyLou, it showed the extension.

I found the solution though: I had to set the SIP trunk to private. VM is now functional.

I have purchased Exchange 2010 and will be migrating over just so I can get the WMI working on the Mitel IP phones, hopefully everything works after the transition.

Thanks again.
