Integration with Office 365
« on: July 18, 2013, 04:18:42 PM »
Hi there, first time user with a bit of an annoying problem.

We are currently using Office 365 as our email provider and have version 5.1.0.52 running for Mitel. For a while, the system was sending us an email whenever a voicemail came in beautifully, then one day, it just stopped. Nothing I know of changed on our system, but I do think MS was rolling out some upgrades to Office 365 in anticipation of the upgrade to the 2013 product. My phone provider is just as stumped on this as well, and they have someone else with the exact same set up as us with the same problem. I did check the logs and found this error:

I have verified the password and email address are correct for my gateway server. I even went into Powershell to try and grant that account FullAccess with no luck. I've got a ticket in with MS, but I'm not really expecting any help, as they'll tell me to use a proxy. We were able to receive VMs fine without the proxy, so I fail to see how that is going to help now. One thing that I have noticed is that the emails are coming from "noreplydelivery@mitel5000.(mydomain).com" and I am wondering if that is causing the issue with MS's new "enhanced" features. Is there a way I can change that for giggles to see if it solves my issue? My Gateway email address is not that address, so I'm wondering if there is a conflict there.

Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

We were finally able to figure it out. Microsoft had changed the URL for smtp and our DNS settings had not updated. Once we change it to Google's DNS, it worked fine.
