2 extension with the same number
« on: June 26, 2013, 04:48:43 PM »
Hiya,
I've got an odd request from a customer.
He's got xtn 100 analogue and 200 a SIP. I can put them both into a personal ring grp 200 and I can setup a multicall key on 200 for xtn 100. In this way, when someone rings either 100 or 200, both of them will ring at the same time.
In telephone directory, I only got 100 but the problem we have is when the user rings someone from 200 as this number comes up on their screen. There is any way to force both extensions to present ONLY 100 ?! I couldn't think of any way doing this. The controller is on v 4.0

If is a suite you can have it present the suite number when any member of a suite makes a call.

I did try to adda suite today and didn't work. I'm wondering what I've missed ?!
I've got xtn 100 analogue and 200 SIP so I couldn't add 100 as a suite because the DN is used already. I had to create a dummy number 101 for the analogue and then I was able to add suite 100 with 101 & 200 as members. Hoewever, when 200 rang me back, on the screen I had 200 and NOT 100 ?!

If 100 is the ONS set you can't as it cannot be the prime of a PRG (per help files).

You may want to put a name in the telephone directory for ext 200 as "Extension 100".
Not a perfect solution but it may work for what you need.

Or...  since 100 is analogue, you could split the line and put an analogue phone where the 200 phone is now.
