Remote access from station of another station

Wondering if someone maybe able to help...

Currently our maintenance subscription / support has expired on our system.

There is a user seemingly remotely accessing a feature to take control of another station and making bogus calls.

I'd like to know if anyone can help me identify the feature this employee is using.  Also if it is possible to turn it off at all.  And last but not least if it is possible to identify the source of where this happens.

I have the Mitel DB System and Diagnostics tool installed on my machine but my knowledge is limited so please go easy.

Do you use Xarios Phone Manager?

Yes we currently use Xarious Phone Manager.

In settings you can change the extn you are paired with and initiate calls from someone elses extn, could this be it?

Possibly depends upon your Xarios version, if you log into the application server there's an option to tick that requires the person to enter the password for the extension if they want to change which one they are paired with.

That's on the V3 one I have here.

It looks as though I am on v3

So is this just done on each individual station.  I can see on the connections settings, where 'endpoint only' is selected there is an option for password.  Does this mean this would be required to be set for each individual station?

No problem

On your xarios application server go to Client Options / Settings and tick use extn passwords.

Then in each client you will have to enter the password for the actual extn they are paired with.

The password can be changed using the Mitel 5000 config software.

That's what it is in theory anyway, i've never had a user do what you are experiencing so i've never enabled passwords!
