Mitel MAS NuPoint ports go Out of Service
« on: June 04, 2013, 12:04:25 PM »
NPM on MAS server.
8 ports programmed as 5020
Release 14.2.2.15.01

The ports on this system appear to randomly go OS.
Today when I checked the system 7 out of 8 ports were OS.
Stopping and starting the NPM service restores it but does anyone have a clue of what might cause the ports to go down at random times?

2nd part of this question:  What logs can I check to narrow down the time the ports went OS?

Ralph

I would think it would show in the maintenance logs when the port goes AWOL.

Also, are the ports configured as trusted on the 3300?

The 3300 is 4.2    I don't think you can configure those ports as trusted.

Are all the ports configured correctly in the MAS and the 3300 by this I mean do the number match. I had one where a single port was configured incorrectly and it fills up a logfile on the MAS and the ports crash.

yes you can configure Nupoint ports as trusted if they are on a MAS. Not supposed to set standalone Nupoint ports as trusted yet.

You don't happen to have any set up as RAD's?

No RADs.
I'll look to see about the trusted ports.   I didn't think that came into play until ver 6.0  I'm on 4.2

Ralph, just in case, do you have Record-a-Call blade installed on this Nupoint? If so, ports must be configured as 5240 IP phones.

It doesn't appear so but in case I've missed something I've attached a screen shot of the installed blades.
