Urgent issue...swap 5224 with 5330
« on: May 30, 2013, 04:38:33 PM »
I have an urgent issue right now, one of our receptionists phones died.  Its asking to configure phone, and it will not register.

She had a 5224, and I want to swap it with a 5330.  When I do a MAC for that particular phone to reflect the new model under Physical device, I receive an error.  "Must deassign devices in second circuit first (347)".

I assume this has to do with the trunk being directed to her extension 6299.

How can I change this quickly to get her a phone on her desk.

Thanks for the help!

-Evan

My thinking would be that she has a PKM programmed against the 5224, and depending on your software load, you may not support a PKM on a 5330.

RESOVLED....Re: Urgent issue...swap 5224 with 5330

Just to follow up the issue has been resolved.

It turns out the extension was on a second key on the phone setup.  I had to remove that first, then i was able to do the Move Add Change.

Had to get Mitel involved because of the error message, made it sound a hell of a lot more serious.  "Deassign device from second circuit first" .  To me that sounded like the device was associated to a circuit.

Oh well.
