"Lamp" key assignment...what is it?
« on: May 01, 2013, 10:37:19 AM »
What is the lamp button referring to in the key assignment?  I know the voicemail and mute button have a LED behind the button, but what is the "lamp" they are reffering to?  Is it the top light?

If so, is there any practical use to change this assignement?

Thanks!

The lamp at the top can be set to indicate when a feature is active. The only time I've ever used it for anything but a message lamp is in a call center where they wanted it to be obvious when the agents were logged it. We set the feature key for ACD agent toggle, and that big lamp would be lit when agents were logged in.
