5200 series phones with 2 extension appearances, how to ?
« on: April 29, 2013, 10:37:06 AM »
I have 2 - 5200 series phones, i.e.  ext 7010 and 7020
The same person moves back and forth between 2 offices and uses both phones. (somewhat temporary situation)
My thought is to have both phones with the extensions appear at each, to be able to answer, put on hold and pick them up at either spot.

I tried a multicall button
Phone1   Phone2
7010      7020
7020      7010

But a call put on hold at the first, didn't appear at the 2nd ?

Any ideas would be appreciated.      Thanks.

As long as they're both on the same controllers then that's the simple way to do it.
Also add a message waiting key for each other phone

Yes, it is one controller. I don't think I explained the issue very well above.

I put a call on hold at the one phone, the extension was not lit up blinking at the other extension. I can make calls or answer calls from either extension for both phones. Just the Hold doesn't appear on both ?

Be sure the keys are added as "KeySystem" keys and not "Multicall"

Yes,

Looking at the feature / program information on key system will work great.

Thank you Ralph
