5485 Paging Unit
« on: April 25, 2013, 12:52:41 PM »
Can anyone instruct on how to manually set the primary ICP on a 5485 paging unit. The rel 6.0 THB states this is a requirement in a clustered environment.

Your help is appreciated.

I am not sure I understand, when you create a user you set the Primary and Secondary ICP in the User & Device Configuration. It is the same as it has been for the last few versions. I have a handful of 6.0s using 5845 Paging units and we did nothing special with them.

5485 Paging Unit

Thanks for the reply. I'm aware how to configure it on the 3300. I'm having an issue where the unit is getting and IP but will never come into service. I've been pointed in the direction of setting the primary icp on the unit itself statically, this may be wrong. Got a feeling it's DHCP options. Will put the older ones in the server tomorrow and try.

What DHCP options are you using for the Mitel options? I don't think the 5845 supports option 43, only 125 or 128-132.

Yeah, I installed a 5485 last month and I had to configure "old" DHCP options (128-132) in the network.

You need to manually input the MAC address of the 5485 in the 3300
