Voicemail forwarding Issue
« on: April 08, 2013, 12:14:40 PM »
We are using Nupoint messaging, Deskphones and UCA clients.  If someone dials into nupoint and listens to their message and then forwards it onto a UCA client (softphone) user.  The softphone user who uses visual voicemail gets the message but it is only 1 sec long and is blank.  But if forward to a deskphone user they get the message.  Say a softphone user using visual voicemail forwards a message via the client to another user using the client, it works fine..  Now the other funny part is, when the uca client user gets this message they cannot delete it?

Now here comes the strange part.  If that uca client dials into nupoint and listens to the message there, it is fine and they can hear it and delete it.  So has to be a visual voicemail issue.

Any thoughts?

if you shut off visual voicemail to the softphone users then does it work?

You are right this is interesting since forwarding a message from within the Nupoint only copies the message within the Nupoint.
