rookie questions here
« on: March 20, 2013, 02:32:22 PM »
I am the new IT guy here and I know a bit about Mitel systems but not a lot. I have been asked to delete all the voice mail from a couple of users mail boxes, but for the life of me can't figure out how to do it. I am not sure what the voice mail # is yet or how to find it. I thought I had in the Mitel System Admin software but everytime I dial it, I get an invalid extension message. Any help would be grateful.

If you have the System Admin software it's really easy, right click the mailbox and click clear Voicemails.

hmmm If I go to Voice Processor/Devices/Mailboxes  and select the mailbox I want to clear, I don't get anything when I right click it. Am I in the wrong place?

Thanks a lot for the reply.

Right-clicking on a VM box in the location you described should bring up a menu like is attached... If not, perhaps you do not have the proper permissions to edit mailboxes with your admin user account?

that is entirely possible. Where would I check/change those permissions in the interface?

You guys have been great. I can't thank you enough

System Accounts, but you likely don't have permissions to see that...

So you go to Voice Processor->Devices->Mailboxes, then in the list of mailboxes in the right-hand pane (not the list on the left under Mailboxes) you right-click and get nothing? You do not click into a mailbox, see attached (better screen shot)
