Last question - UCA Softphone - User accounts? M5000.

Hi there.

First off, thanks to ACE for helping out with our Voicemail to Email issue. Without his thorough guide and assistance we would still be stuck. Awesome tips!

This should hopefully be my final time posting here. Our PBX is near completion for the time being.

We are trying to setup the Softphone app within the office. We keep recieving 403: Bad username/Password error.

In Hot Desk Profiles, I've put my extension username to "SuperMike" and reset my web access password to 123456 . I don't really think I am in the right place.

Where exactly would I create these "logins" for the softphone?

The UCA Softphone Tool is asking for

Directory Number (My extension?)
User Password (Where do I set it? Is this the web access password?)
Authorization User Name (I am guessing that's SuperMike? Where I have it defined in HD Profile's?)
Display Name: MikeSuper
Server name - The IP of the PBX itself (Not the DB, not the MAS)

I need to find out how and where to create these accounts. Any help would be real appreciated. I have access to everything necessary to make this work (I believe). If not, can get access no problem.

Discovered how to create softphone profiles..Still no luck.

System\Dev Feature Codes\Phones\Local

Right Click -> Create UC Advanced Softphone > EXT 1051 and Enable Hot Desk, Create a User.

Set a Passcode 123456 in 1051's New Extension.

Still bad password. Any other ideas?

Within the extn you created 1051, set all fields that suggest a username, directory name etc to 1051.

The pass code is simple I think it going to be the username that is the problem.

In your client use 1051 in all the fields you can.

Do I need something called an MCD? To create these users?

Or will this 10 day UCX softphone trial get my connected and get this working?
