Ringing patterns

Hi all.

I need to try to get the mitel 5000 hx to do something a little different.

We have isdn30 with DDI's, each DDI goes to a group (acd but using members)

I need the call flow to be ring for x seconds (but cut short if agent free) then announcement (you call is important blah blah) then music on hold.

I'm running a little short on groups so I can't double the groups up. is this possible?

This would be easy with two groups, with a single group you either have Ringing or MOH. Have you played about with the Audio for xx settings on the groups?

Does this setup have a Processing Server (PS-1)? If you are getting near your Group limit a PS-1 increases the amount you can have?

That was my first plan, using 2 groups,  but we have 50 already.
its a brand new install (Literally it is going in as I type this!) we don't have the ps-1 modul/unit.

I've played with the audio settings and I can get ringing or music on hold, can't get both to work. (I may be doing it wrong)

Hmm ok, back to the drawing board!

I think it's 150 groups on a basic HX, 250 on an HX with PS-1.

According to the engineering guidelines you should install a PS-1 if you are running more than 30 HGs!

we actually found a way round this,

the 5000 can support 300 groups out the box you just need to tweak some hidden settings, under the advanced options in programming you can increase groups from 75 to 300.

Standard disclaimer applies if it  breaks something important, it was the other guy!
