Audiotex Recordings

Hi All,

My colleague has asked is it possible to upload professionally recorded audiotex recordings.  I have checked out the web gui on one of our systems and can only see an option to upload html apps and MOH.  The system I am trying to do this on is 5.1.0.35.  Not sure yet what version of software my colleagues is on.

I can't see this anywhere and not sure if this is possible but can anyone confirm if it is?

I know it is possible on the 3300 but cannot see it anywhere on the 5000.

If I remember correctly from school, this can't be done.
What we talked about in class is having to find devices that would connect to a phone's handset and then play and MP3/WAV while recording on the system.

This is correct, there is no way I am aware of to load the Audiotex recordings, only MOH.

I got our soldering fella to make up a headphone jack to female RJ11 plug so I can unplug the handset and plug the curly cord straight into my laptop via the adaptor.

It's not crystal clear but it sounds better than recording through the mouthpiece.

You can also go to the sandman at www.sandman.com at look for part number MSC3M handset audio feeder, I have a same problem with recording a wav file to the audiotex with an adapter that I made up that muted the transmitter on the handset so it would not hear the backround. When I played the recording and listen to it on the handset it was clear but when I played it back it was distorted. Tech support advise me to put a 10,000 ohm resistor in series with the tip that pads down the audio going into the handset jack on the phone.
