SSL Certificate for Web Access
« on: December 07, 2012, 06:13:34 AM »
Hi,

I would like to get my users to start logging into the 5000 phone system 'web access' to view their call log, set forwarding and so on. I have created usernames, passwords etc in the Mitel Programming (under Users > [username]).

However, I noticed when visiting the IP address of Mitel 5000 system I get an SSL warning, saying the certificate is not trusted.

Where can I install my own self-signed certificate? I have had a good look though, but cannot find it in the DB programming menu!!

Thanks in advance for the tip

PS: I have a related question for Web Access, which I will post separately.

WallIT,

The SSL Certificate can only be viewed in the system and regenerated. There is no way to install your own that I know of. The Expiry date of the certificate is usually 3 years from the time of system initialization.

If you want to view it log into the system web page using your admin credentials and then go to System Management and then on the left pick SSL Certificate. To see the Regeneration portion you need to set it view the Advanced Mode at the top.

Hope that helps.
