Mitel 5220 SIP Release 7.2 Configuration Issues/Documentation
« on: September 27, 2012, 09:27:42 PM »
We are using Mitel 5220 phones in SIP mode with firmware release R7.2.07.02.00.04.

We are having random issues with the phones not picking up the correct configuration or losing connection to our pbx.  There appear to be some blatant errors int he Mitel document DK115611_16 (http://edocs.mitel.com/UG/EN/DK115611_14.xls).

For example, it lists the following syntax for dialpl:
<dialpl digit_dial="0" digit_follow="0" digit_remove="1" prefix="9" route="" suffix="123456789">Dial Plan 1</dialpl>

However, if you set a dialpl via the phone web portal and view the configuration, it uses this syntax:
<dialpl>1/2/0/|/|/|/dpInternal/[23456789]/9/0/|/|/|/dpExternal/</dialpl>

Obviously they are very different.

Other issues include:
1. if MN_Generic.cfg is present, the phone does not seem to download MN_User.cfg  or MN_MAC like the documentation states.  This could be misunderstanding on my part though because I don't understand how MN_User loads before MN_MAC.  We're specifying the user in MN_MAC.

2. We have configured BLF's (key feature 27) that aren't picked up when configuration file is reloaded.  Even if we manually upload the CFG file via the web interface, it does not load.  In some cases we set back to factory on the device itself, change back to SIP mode and it will then download.

Any ideas?

What system are you running this on?
