Paging Delay
« on: June 08, 2012, 12:47:17 PM »
Have a 3300 at one of our locations and they tell me they are getting a delay when they page.  They say its takes about 7 seconds till it allows them to page.  Is there a setting I can change to lower this delay time.  Not seen it in class of service or any other form yet.

Are they using phone paging or loudspeaker paging? Is this system a CX/MXe/MXe with second processor? How many phones are in the paging group?

If loudspeaker, are you using a trunk or the page port?

Loudspeaker paging, and I believe its a page port.  MXe-III and around 60 phones on system.  I didn't set the system up and been thrown into learning the configurartion of it.

If they're dialing page codes then have them try <page code>+'#'
I'd suspect a digit conflict and that will prove it out.
