Featured dial-in audio (TUI) and web based interface, with on/off scheduling. Also allowed transfer, hold, conf, etc. by PBX via on-call feature codes. Initially available as stand-alone product, but moved to MAS blade with initial MAS creation. Compatible with MCD/3300 software versions 7.0 though MCD 5.0SP1
EHDU = External Hotdesk User; application allowing deskphone twinning with outside devices (cell phone, external pots, etc.). Built into MCD or 3300. Enabled/disabled via feature codes. No built-in TUI, web interface or scheduling service. Mitel now contends that all this can be and should be done via integration with UCA server/UCA desktop client/UCA Mobile Client. Allows for transfer, hold, conf, etc. by PBX via on-call feature codes. Released as a part of MCD 4.0/3300 10.X. Billed as Series-X for promotional purposes.
UCA = Unified Communicator Advanced. Previously known as YA Advanced or Your Assistant Advanced. Initially computer-based software that allowed interaction and control with your desk/soft phone. Latest versions have web and mobile clients with Outlook contact and calendar integration. Starting in MAS 4.0 UCA fully integrates with the MAS User configuration; allowing single interface user configuration of all MAS services and basic MCD configuration.
UCC or AWC = Unified Communicator Conference/ Audio and Web Conference; initially an Inter-Tel based product that transitioned to Mitel as part of purchase. Built into MAS from MAS first release. Replaced YA Collab and Mitel's stand alone conference bridge application. As of MAS 4.0 it allows web and client based presentations.
