Using Google Voice for twinning Mitel phones
« on: March 10, 2012, 01:34:19 PM »
This is just a 'theory' question.

What if....
We sold a Mitel phone system with SIP DID numbers.
Then gave everyone Google Voice numbers and had them twinned to their BYOD cells and their desktop phones.
You would use Google Voice mail and have the VMs sent to your email & cell.
Calls could be placed via Google Voice for free.  VM is free.
In theory, this would cut the cost to the customer substantially and offer basic UM?

Anyone thought of doing this?
Anyone doing it even on a small scale?

Ralph

Sadly for us here in Australia Google voice isn't really an option yet, so nup no thought from me on this one!
