"re-home" phone on different Mitel 3300 ICP
« on: February 03, 2012, 11:04:07 AM »
We are running 5 ICPS in a clustered environment.

Is it possible to "re-home" a phone in my NY office onto the ICP in NC?

If i changed all the static network settings to reflect that ICP in NC, would that work?

I have tried this, but does not seem to connect.

Thanks.

I may be flap'n a bit on this one, but I think what you have to do is to delete the extension and recreate it on the correct controller.   Have the local controller as the resilient.   That way the phone should register to the NC switch but resilient to the NY site.

Assuming Version 4.0 or better on this one.

I didn't think it would be that simple...just to register a phone on a different ICP.

It worked.
