Hi

If you use the Auto Attendant open and closed greetings how do you get them to answer. i mean i have 417 as my incoming ddi what number do i point this at. is it the VM HG ?

Hey Chris, welcome to the forum, just to expand on Ralph's post (which is correct) pointing the incoming call at the vmail pilot number will play whichever greeting is selected for the port in greetings assignment. FYI when I use the vmail front end for AA I never use the primary greeting, the one that says 'thankyou for calling, if you have a touchtone phone please dial the number......blah blah blah' as once you record over this you cannot revert. I always record an secondary greeting and then change the greeting to be played in the greetings assignment then if you every want to remove the AA you can just change back to primary greeting.
