SIP Speakers Paging Groups
« on: December 15, 2011, 11:24:11 AM »
Hello all,

I just got my cyberdata sip speakers and hooked them up to my mitel 3300 system with no issues. When I call one of the speakers I can hear loud and clear the sound from the speaker. However when I want to add these speakers to an existing paging or new paging group it returns the error that "The device is not page group compatible". Any ideas.

Thanks for your time

You will probably need to assign it to a different SIP device capability and play around with the settings in there.

Having not seen one of these before I can't say which options, but that would be the first place that I would look.

Did you ever find out if this could be done?

Turns out that whilst I made an initial suggestion on where to start looking, it doesn't seem to be the right one, as now I am in the situation of trying to add a generic sip device to a PG.

So has anyone else had any luck with this?  :D

Are you sure you can have SIP devices in a page group? I see no where that it says the Group page feature supports SIP end points.

Yep that is the problem, it doesn't allow you to add a SIP device to a page group. I am just trying to find out if anyone has found a way around it!  :)
