« on: May 13, 2011, 12:24:10 PM »
I am an network admin, and a novice with Mitel - There is currently one extension set-up to be notified if a door buzzer is pushed (caller ID -- DOOR) I need to set-up other users to be notified.  DOes any ine know how to do this?

how is the door buzzer connected? Does it connect onto an analogue trunk or extension port?

We use the Viking model C-2000B to interface with our Mitel ICS on dual SL card.

The door unit is push button audio, it just rings what ever end-point we have setup in the system, at this point it rings the receptionist. Shows which door since we have multiple external doors.

The door is probably an SLT extn that is programmed as a hot line when the button is pressed, have a look at the endpoints or phones section in programming. You'll probably see one marked as door.

You need to determine whether this extn rings a group or straight to a phone, if its a group add the phone you wish to ring into the extn list.

If it currently rings straight to a phone you'll need to create Hunt Group Extn list, add the phones you want to ring into it, create a hunt group then enter the HG extn list into it as a member.
