Backup Fails
« on: June 28, 2011, 07:58:23 AM »
I have a site running MCD 4.2 SP2 that fails on backups. Looking at the logs the VM is causing it (embedded). I have tried a reboot and stopping and starting the VM from the RTC. No luck. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I am waiting on support to open to give them a call.

As bobcheese says any error messages or logs? Trusted sites? Clear History on browser? I know those sound dumb but they have affected backups for myself.

Turns out it was a firewall on site blocking FTP. All good now.

It may be a good idea that we get our heads together and put together a FAQ for firewall and browser setups.
Perhaps along with a check list so when someone has an issue like this we can point them to the FAQ.
I'm testing out some content management software now that should handle this pretty well.
