Newbie intro and question
« on: June 08, 2011, 05:39:47 AM »
Hi
Just joined the forum. I've recently taken over the support of a Mitel 3300 system, and have no backup from the original suppliers. We have about 40 extensions.
I've managed to find my way around most things, but one thing is bugging me...
if a call is forwarded to an extension, is there any way of picking that call up on another extension?
Often, incoming calls for one of my colleagiues are 'blind' forwarded to his extension, and if he's not there, it rings out and eventually goes to voicemail. I want to be able to pick up his rinign call from my phone... the call is going direct to his extension, not any sort of pickup group.

Lots of ways to do this.

Easiest is to create a key appearance on your phone for his extension and set it as DSS/Busy when his phone rings the key on your phone will flash / ring (if you set it to) and you lift handset and hit the flashing key and you will answer the call.
