Hello,

here is the scenario : 5 Micollab softphone users are in a ring group, in ring all mode. A call is incoming, nobody picks it up. They're all busy, the call will eventually overflow to another group. What some of them do is that they silence the incoming call, because they're with a client in the shop, for example. Then for whatever reason one of them wants to make a call. But that's not possible, as long as the group is ringing.

Is there a COS parameter that could solve this issue ? They do have a multicall line.

Thanks

So the group that wants to make the outbound call are using desk phones? I don't believe you can do what you want with a softphone.

If using a desk phone I would make the overflow call ring a multicall key instead of the phones prime number, or a ring group with the multicall as a member. Few ways you could do this.

Then make sure in the COS for that phone, "Ringing Line Select" is No.

Caveat - They would also need to press the muilticall to answer the call instead of just going off hook. This is not ideal for headset users that just want to answer the call using the headset.

I think they might be able to remove their presence from the group using MiCollab client instead of silence then re-add after.

Thanks for your answers.

There are no deskphones in the scenario only micollab softphones.

About group presence, some users have the option to manage it, mostly the ones in the overflow groups, but the client doesn't want all users to have that option, because they will simply remove themselves from groups and not take any calls. Incidentally that means we have to configure that option on users one by one which is annoying, we can't use the command to activate it for everyone.
