Station speed dial issue
« on: April 10, 2025, 04:49:51 PM »
I've got a rel 6.0 Sp1 PR2 system. Customer wants the ability to manually forward calls when needed. I created a main phantom for control, which the DID is pointed to. I set up a CRA 2570 for the external forward using another phantom that is manually forwarded via ARS to the external number. I set up 2 station speed dials, one to turn off forward, which sends the call back to the STAR 3591170#3552520 and the other station speed dial to turn forward on 3591170#3552570. Both the admin phones have the station speed dial keys but when they press the key, nothing happens. When I go back into DB programming, the forward on 1170 is still pointing to 2520 instead of 2570. I'm under the 16 digits. Am I missing something?

NSTech,

So, when you tried this manually from the phone you put the button on what happens?

My guess is that you didn't put in the correct passcode for x1170 and so your remote programming feature failed.

To do it the way you have it then you must remove the passcode from x1170 and if it has # marks in that field it isn't empty.

I am not going to ask why you are using CRAs as that isn't really relevant, but you do know you can just send them to the phantoms that are actually forwarded.

Thanks,

TE

Tech,

I did make sure to clear the passcode from the phantom, no hash marks there. I've done this many times without issue. I rebooted the system as well thinking the long uptime (346 days) might have been an issue but no. I even had her try to default both extensions but that did not work. I created  a new keymap as well and that did not work. She says when she hits the button she gets beeps. I confirmed the FACs are correct.

NSTech,

Did you verify whether or not the System Flag for requirement of the Special Key was on or off?

If it is On then you will need to put a '!' (exclamation mark) on the end of the feature code used in a speedcall.

Thanks,

TE
