One of our users is experiencing an unusual issue with their Mitel Bluetooth headset, which is connected to a Mitel 5330 deskphone. When the user initially attempts to use the headset, they hear a repeating tone instead of the expected dial tone. However, if they hang up the call and then attempt to use the headset again, they receive the proper dial tone.

Before I proceed with ordering a replacement headset, I wanted to check if there might be any deskphone settings I should investigate that could potentially resolve this issue. Has anyone encountered a similar problem, and if so, were you able to fix it through configuration adjustments?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Broken Dial Tone?

Check first to see if the phone is forwarded or has a message waiting.
In maintenance enter "Loc fe ex [extension]"
It will tell you if there are features active on the phone.

I was able to find a replacement headset, and that successfully resolved the issue. Thank you for your feedback!
