MWI Added Key
« on: November 29, 2024, 05:34:05 PM »
I'm attempting to have a ring group 1234100 that overflows to a VM box 1234101 and then put a MWI key 1234101 on a few phones so that from those users could press the MWI to hear any new messages. As it stands now the only way to get the MWI key to blink is by dialing the Message Waiting - Activate but then once all the messages have been heard and/or deleted the light continues to blink.

Also when there is a new unheard message pressing the MWI button will not dial into the mailbox but it does dial into the VM system (as long as you pick up a line) so you end up hearing "Please enter your mailbox". The extension's message button works correctly so I believe my Call Coverage Services with the VM huntgroup lead in it is programmed correctly. While this feels like a COS issue I've compared my COS attributes to a system using NuPoint where the MWI works correctly and I have the VM and Messaging attributes the same.

Any ideas on what else I could look into?

What voice mail platform and integration type? Those details may have some key items that need to be configured.

I would create a trusted extension 1234101 for the message box, create mailbox 1234100 with callflow that has voicemail for 1234101
