TA7108 Extensions "Invalid" when registered
« on: December 06, 2023, 02:23:35 PM »
This is on a MiVB 3300 8.0 SP3.

I have a TA7108 SIP Fax Adapter and have a used a few in the past. I have one where two extensions were cut over from an ASU II and did fine. The third, and any subsequent ones we add will show "Out of Service" when we call them until they register from the server when we change them from analog to SIP. All expected so far.

The issue is that once registered from the MiVB the extension goes "invalid"

The TA7108 Shows  the extensions "Registered" and LOCATE FEATURE EXTENSION in the MiVB shows the extension "Login active at SIP"

The ones that are working do not appear to have any differences such as COS or SIP Device Capabilities.

Am I truly just losing my mind?

Double check your configuration against the Mitel recommended settings, probably a timer or other option mismatched:
https://mitel.custhelp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1001698/loc/en-US

They are set to use G.711 A-law (EU standard) by default so you have to switch your codec to u-Law for NA installations, and I usually switch the fax capabilities from T.38 to G.711 pass-through.
