Ring group members across IP/xnet trunk
« on: August 15, 2022, 09:13:12 AM »
Customer has multiple non-clustered systems connected with IP/Xnet trunks. They want to add some remote members to a ring group. Would I be right in thinking that External Hotdesk Users would be the way to do this?
I seem to remember that this required the callee to press a digit to accept the call when I tested on the PSTN but I assume this could be disabled as it wouldn't be necessary in this scenario.

Not sure but you can't add remote users to the same ring group if the systems are not clustered.

You can use EHDU, and i suggests you to keep the press digits only if one of the ring group member will be a mobile phone., because if the mobile member Is switched off or in a tunnel, the caller may fall on the voicemail of the mobile.  So the press digits validates the call

The remote users are just desk phones on another MiVB across an IP/Xnet trunk.
