Question for the VARS:  How are you dealing with 911 compliance for remote workers?
Are you using external third party services?  If so, what services are you using?

We usually set and SIP DDI numbers with the carrier to the address of the remote location where possible then set up the teleworker users to present the DDI number as CPN substitution and also complete the CESID assignment in the 3300

That's a good idea - how do you, or do you have to, address hybrid workers who may or may not be at a specific location at any given time with CESID?

Thankfully we don't have to address this situation as all of out customers who have remote users are static and don't move around but I would be interested in seeing any solutions for this scenario if I think of one I will post

At them moment I'm leaning towards using a combo of the Mitel CESID and a product from ATT that has the remote user update their information.

Probably similar to the locator assistant used with the MiCollab integrations with RedSky and Intrado, where it pulls the GPS data from the device and checks that against a list of known locations for the user.

The way I did it was to make multi site users hot desk extensions.  Make the teleworker set CESID their home DID so it reports that address.  Make COR for the teleworker not allowed to dial anything but 911.  This will force the user to login as their hot desk extension, but 911 calls get the CESID from the base extension NOT the hot desk.  Then when in the office you make that phone a different base extension with same COR that only allows 911, but the CESID of the office.
