Remote phone network port testing
« on: March 23, 2022, 04:37:25 PM »
Is there a tool similar to the Teleworker Network Analyzer that I can use to verify the correct ports are open for a remote phone on a MiVoice Office 250? Having a finger pointing match with a network vendor on no-way audio for a remote phone, and struggling to find a way to prove my case that the UDP ports aren't open.

lundah,

You can use the TNA on the MiVO-250 as it is just checking to see if the ports are responding or not; I have done it many times.

***UPDATE

If you are looking for something more powerful though you can use nMap which does all kinds of network testing.

Thanks,

TE

How would I configure TNA? I can't seem to add UDP ports as far as I can tell.

lundah,

What type of phone are you trying to test for that would require additional UDP port?

You can't add additional UDP ports and if you do then I would suggest using nMap for that.

Sorry,

TE

So my problem is that we failed to add the NAT IP address is one more field in the DB programmer. After that all is good.
