Forward to voicemail with number press
« on: February 22, 2022, 07:03:29 PM »
Hi

I have a Mitel MiVoice Business system, I already have an answering message for external calls where you press 1 to leave a voice message for X, and 2 to talk to somebody.

I've searched all around system administration but I can't seem to find out how to add "3" and make that forward to a particular voicemail box that I already have set up?

Any help would be great  :)

Is this embedded vm? Are there any Multi Level Auto Atendants programmed. Otherwise are you using MiCollab and Nupoint?

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

Its running on the Mitel 3300 Controller. There are no multi level auto attendants that I can see (there are no entries when I click on it)

I'm not sure what micollab and nupoint is or how to check if I'm using it.

create a mailbox 3 and have it do what you want and rerecord the greeting might be what you are looking for

I have the voicemail box ready, I just don't understand how you make it so when you press "3" it goes to that voicemail box? As in, when someone calls our external number and the greeting plays.

I tried to look at editing the main extension's settings but couldn't see a place where you can set what happens if a caller presses a number on their keypad.

Is this a users mailbox? You could make a trusted extension XXXX rerouted always to VM, have 3 as transfer only to XXXX(also could be a speedcall to the same). Should come back into MB XXXX. Might need to get into MB 3 and give a name for the transfer prompt
