Best way to Verify Paging Groups are Working
« on: November 02, 2021, 04:14:29 PM »
Hi Everyone!

I've setup 10 Paging Groups on our 3300 system.  I've tested two of the smaller groups who only have a few users in them by emailing the Users and having them reply back that they received the page.   I have a few larger groups with 30-40 users in them who will not always be at their desk so this isn't an option.  I've tried to search through the SMDR logs after a test, but can't seem to locate logs indicating the page went through.

Is there a way to get this information out of the Logs or another testing method that I'm not thinking of?

Thanks for the help!
Sully

I don't think there is any log that shows a direct page

Thanks John.  I'm thinking maybe this will be a "set it & forget" it type config with no way to log it.

I don't think direct page is considered a call. I have tried in the past to run it through a loopback trunk but had no success. This was to limit call/connection time.
