Ring Group
« on: September 16, 2021, 04:24:46 PM »
Hello,
I have a system set up to ring the embedded VM and selects option 1 that transfers to a ring group that will ring ext 1000 then the ring group overflows to another ring group that rings x 1000 and 1002.
the customer want it to then " if not answered" to go to the mailbox of 1002.
Is it possible to do that??

Thanks!!

Yes, this is possible - you will probably have to put all of the members of Ring Group 1000 in to Ring Group 1002 and then add additional members. On Ring Group 1000 set your "Call Ringing Timer" to how long you want callers to wait before the overflow. Then your "Overflow Point" will be 1002.

I created two Ring Groups (6111 and 6112).
And Ring Group 6111 that will ring extension 1000 then the ring group overflows to another Ring Group 6112 that rings extensions 1000 and 1002. Then the "Overflow Point" will be extension 1002.

But never goes to the VoiceMail of 1002. But if you call directlly to extension 1002, and no answer, goes to the VoiceMail.

Thanks!!

Your overflow should be your pilot VM port/extension. Then you'll want to go into the mailbox of 1002 and enter in 6111 in the Alternate Extension #1. The point being that the overflow is your VM system and the originally dialed extension of 6111 carries over so NuPoint will look for a mailbox with that extension.

Embedded vm is harder to make this happen than Nupoint. I would overflow to an ACD path that goes to extension 1002*, queues without login. interflows at 1 second

For embedded voicemail

Program a nametag hunt group *1002

Set *1002 in CRRA to the voicemail  hunt group number day,N1 and N2

program your final overflow to *1002
