Live Content Suite in 2021
« on: August 23, 2021, 04:25:34 AM »
We've been using this app forever, since before I joined the company and learned Mitel in 2014.

The website has been customized with company logo, company colors etc.

I installed it once, on a Windows 2008 server, replacing a Windows 2003 server.

Now we're virtual so there is no issue with hardware, however for security reasons Win2008 servers must be replaced with Win2016 or 2019 servers.

Problem is, I click on the install file of LCS, and it asks for IIS 5.1. IIS 10 is installed, I checked some boxes that seem to be making it compatible down to IIS 6, but not 5.

Any ideas ? I can't find anything anymore on Mitel's website.

How are users supposed to configure the keys on their phones now, manually ?

I am not familiar with the Live Content Suite and was searching for information regarding that software.  It apparently is outdated..

To answer your question, perhaps the Desktop Tool has replaced it?

Under Users and Services Configuration for the respective User > User Profile tab > Desktop Admin Access is checked.

The user would then  access the URL of the server to manage features and speed call numbers.

Thanks for your answer. In fact the Desktop Admin Tool is older still. The client doesn't like it, and we would need to make accounts for all users (currently they don't have one, LCS uses AD SSO).
