Is there a fix for the MS Access Database bug yet?
« on: August 02, 2021, 03:51:49 PM »
For some time now, all of our techs have to do a Reinstall of MS Access daily to use Mitel 250 software... The MSA&D always opens, but when we try to connect with a session manager it either just disappears at 20% loading, or pops up a message "The operating system is not configured to run the application" or something to that effect. To correct it we have to go to Apps & Features, search for Microsoft Access, click Modify, then reinstall MS Access, and then everything works as normal again... until tomorrow and then we have to do it again.

Is there any permanent fix for this?

I wasn't aware of the bug, but I have had problems where I have a different version of a ms software installed 32 / 64bit or even a DB engine and I would get that error.  The quick fix was to remove the mismatching software or setup a dedicated vm just for the 5000 which is what I ended up doing.
