Replacing Super Console 1000 on an older SX-200
« on: February 14, 2021, 08:04:39 AM »
Good morning,
One of our customers have an older SX-200 with SuperConsole 1000 that started misbehaving lately. The existing model is 9189-000-301-NA. The only other new model that we could get for them is 9189-000-011-NA. Pretty much the same, but different color and does not have backlit display. The question is,- do we need to do any re-programming for the swap or is it just unplug the old and connect the new one? If just hot swap - how long should it take for the new one to be come on-line? Unfortunately we do not have any SX-200 in the lab to test.
Thank You!

The only difference is the color, one is dark grey and the other light grey. Just unplug the old one and plug in the new one. Nothing more to it since they use a digital station port, unless they have speed dials programmed on the "blank" keys, if so just reprogram them as they are stored internally to the console and not in the system (the only time I have ever seen this in a Mitel device).
