firewall issue

Why am I getting the error "Error adding IP input rule:Invalid IP address" when trying to add to the firewall. I have done this many times before

Sorry... gonna need some more info than that. What are you trying to do exactly?

In the web gui of the 250 Controller and I want to add rules to a blank firewall for local ip's to be allowed on port 5060 only and reject all others

Ah... Got you...

Remember to add based on the network address... so if your local address is 192.168.1.10, you would add your rule as 192.168.1.0 and a subnet of 255.255.255.0

BTW, I don't know of anyone who does it this way, at least since I started working on this with software release 1.2 we have never touched this firewall setting for any reason... Normally you handle this at your network edge router/firewall.

I understand, I have set up many Mitel Firewalls before. It's just this time I am having issues. First it was "Error adding IP input Rule: Invalid IP." I knew I had it correct, Then it tells me "Error adding IP input Rule:" Error executing command" below it says "No rules are defined. Accepting all packets. Yes, you would do this on the router firewall, but I don't trust other peoples IT providers. I like to make sure the phone system is solid.
